  2. Nov 04,  · El Loco is a solid album from ZZ Top, and it'd be one of my personal favourites by them. Each song on the record holds up on its own, from start to finish. The only snag to the album, is this is when ZZ Top were yet to perfect the blend between the eighties styled synth sounds and the bluesy guitar tones of Billy Gibbons/5().

  6. El Loco follows through on the streamlined, jet-engine boogie rock of Degüello, but kicking all the ingredients up a means that the grooves are getting a little slicker, while the jokes are getting a little sillier, a little raunchier. The double entendres on "Tube Snake Boogie" and "Pearl Necklace" are barely disguised, while much of the record plays as flat-out goofy party rock.
  7. Really good progressive rock from the early 80s: ZZ Top: "El Loco" (Warner /) Reached number 17 on the US charts! Hints and notes: Brand new CD in the environmentally friendly plastic free Mini vinyl replica sleeve with the original space-saving CD packaging, the narrow sleeve, is not only made of the same material as the record sleeve used to be, but this thin sleeve also.
  8. El Loco is the seventh studio album by the American rock band ZZ Top, released in The title means "The Crazy One" in Spanish.
